Interesting thread on communities in learning https://twitter.com/daveowhite/status/1348582187055149058

David White@daveowhite

An educational problem:

1 Students want to belong to a community
2 Communities need facilitation & support (work)
3 This work is often not valued as part of 'teaching'
4 We are disappointed when the spaces we use (digital or physical) don't somehow generate community
- repeat...

Recommended reading. Will our exhaustion drive us back, uncritically, to pre-COVID ways of working simply because we a desperate to not be in limbo anymore?

As we are buffeted by the forces of the crisis, we have to be mindful of the risks that arise from the pressures & desires to return to what we remember as normal in HE. My latest blog post #edtech #highered #University #liminality #onlinelearning http://www.peterbryant.org/the-snapback/
